The famous French singer was arrested in the case of multiple sexual abuse

The famous French singer Patrick Bruel was detained on charges of sexual assault. This is reported by the BFMTV portal.

According to the publication, the artist was taken into custody on June 8. An investigation has already been launched into the suspicion of Bruel in three episodes of sexual abuse.

It is specified that two women filed complaints, who accused Bruel of sexual assault and attempted rape. In addition, another appeal to law enforcement agencies was received from TV presenter Flavi Flaman. According to her, in 1991, Bruel allegedly drugged her and raped her in his home in Paris. She was 16 years old at the time, Bruel was 32.

In total, Bruel was accused of sexual assault by 13 women. We are talking about incidents that occurred between 1997 and 2012.

The 67-year-old artist has already canceled the main part of his upcoming tour, which was supposed to start in mid-June in Paris and continue with performances at festivals.

One of the theaters in Paris removed five performances with his participation from the repertoire after the protest. Three concerts of the artist in Montreal were canceled by the organizers. However, several Bruel concerts are still planned in the fall.
