The FSB of Russia has uncovered the operation of foreign intelligence services to spy on high-ranking Russian employees with the help of espionage Software in phones. The programs made it possible to listen to conversations and conduct secret audio and video monitoring, the FSB DSP said.
The goal was to obtain sensitive information. A criminal case has been opened on the detection of illegal activity under Article 272 (unlawful access to computer information) and Article 273 (creation, use and distribution of malicious computer programs) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
"The FSB of Russia warns that the special services of foreign states in their destructive activities use modern information technologies, including the use of mobile means of communication. The discussion of confidential information on and near them is unacceptable, since the content of your negotiations may become known to third parties and lead to irreversible consequences," the department noted.
