The Moscow City Court amended the decision of the Tverskoy District Court to recognize the Almaz Capital Partners fund created by Alexander Galitsky as an extremist association.
As part of this decision, Galitsky's assets were seized. But now the Moscow City Court has left Galitsky the right to claim a loan of 1.8 billion rubles, which he provided to businessman Alexander Udodov. A businessman with such data owns Mushroom Rainbow mushroom producer, Affora Group developer and Therma balneological complex in the Krasnodar Territory, CNews reports.
The rest of the decision was upheld. The fund was recognized as an extremist association, and the property of Galitsky and related persons for 8 billion was seized. Also, complaints of other persons who did not participate in the process in the Tverskoy District Court, but by the decision of which their assets were also seized. Among them are the owner of the company "Lanit" Philip Gens, the company "Aiteco" and its co—owner Shamil Shakirov, the co-owner of the company "S-terra" Galina Popova, the owners of the price aggregator CarPrice and others.
Galitsky was found guilty on the basis of accusations of supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Kiev regime. The businessman denies this, calling himself a patriot.
The Almaz Capital Partners Galitsky Fund was created in 2008. The fund invested in Yandex, the Fasten taxi ordering service (became part of Yandex.Taxi") and the companies that had Russian roots, Acronis (developer of information backup solutions) and Parallels (virtualization systems).
On March 23, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office and recognized Galitsky (a citizen of Russia and the Netherlands) and his foundation as an extremist association. Before the lawsuit, an inspection was carried out, which revealed that after the Crimea joined Russia, the fund joined the sanctions and since 2022 has been involved in a military-political conflict on Ukraine. The Prosecutor General's Office found out that in recent years the fund has sent $ 50 million to Ukrainian companies that work in the defense industry. Galitsky denied investing in the production of weapons.
Alexander Galitsky left Russia, leaving with a Dutch passport in the direction of Belarus. Previously, he withdrew billions from accounts at Gazprombank, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office explained.
