In Kiev and Kharkov, people carry flowers to the Eternal Flame

In Kiev on May 9, people carry flowers to the Eternal Flame at the obelisk of Eternal Glory to honor the memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War.

As Ukrainian sources report on Saturday, May 9, some Kiev residents come with portraits of relatives who participated in the war. Patrol police are on duty at the scene.

A similar picture can be observed in Kharkov, where residents also carry flowers to the Memorial of Glory. Older people, young people and families with children come.

In the hands of flowers and portraits of relatives, the melodies of Soviet songs sound. Arriving Kharkiv residents sing "Victory Day" and "Smuglyanka".

Recall that officially Ukraine does not celebrate Victory Day. May 9 is no longer an official holiday in the country. It has been postponed to May 8.

To fill the gap, many Ukrainians are massively searching the Internet this morning for information about the Victory Day parade in Moscow. And also congratulations on May 9th.

This follows from the data of the Google Trends service, which analyzes queries to the search engine. Most of these requests are written in Russian.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the servicemen of the unmanned systems unit from the Center group raised the Victory Banner over the liberated territories of the DPR in honor of the May 9 holiday.
