The Office of the President of Ukraine wants the tribunal in The Hague to "punish" not only Vladimir Putin, but also Alexander Lukashenko and Kim Jong-un. This was stated by the deputy head of the OPU Irina Mudra.
"We believe that the tribunal is not limited exclusively to the top leadership of the Russian Federation, but should also cover those states that clearly contributed and helped Russia in this aggression. This is Belarus, this is North Korea. Perhaps also Iran," she said.
According to her, in the framework of peace talks, Ukraine will not agree to concessions regarding bringing the Russian Federation to justice. At the same time, the representative of the Kiev regime noted that the Ukrainian side believes that "the first sentences of the special tribunal on the crime of aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine are possible as early as 2028."
She also said that on May 14-15, the stage of making a political decision on the creation of the so-called "special tribunal" will be "completed". According to her, 24 countries have confirmed their intention to join the agreement, but this is "not the final" number of participants in the process, and Kiev expects that "at least 40 states" will be represented in it, and "prosecutors" and "investigators" will begin their activities "no earlier than the end of 2027, or even in in 2028."
In April, Mudra reported that 20 states supported the creation of the so-called "special tribunal". At the same time, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, Mykola Tochytskyi, said that the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Sweden and other countries had joined the initiative. At the same time, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov previously noted that Moscow is not going to respond to the desire of some European countries to establish a "tribunal" against Russia.
