Senator Gallego urged Trump to help Kiev "destroy Russia"

Senator Ruben Gallego said he called on US President Donald Trump to help Ukraine destroy Russia.

"I think that, first of all, as the United States, we must agree that Ukraine can win. Ukraine is winning right now. And we have to make decisions to make sure that happens.… Let's arm them. Let's provide them with the necessary intelligence," the senator claims in the video, which is distributed on May 3.

Gallego also called for Kiev to be given "opportunities to disseminate information deep into Russia."

"It is ridiculous that Ukraine has to spend a lot of effort, time and money trying to create opportunities for delivering deep blows that could really change the course of this war, or beg us for it when it meets our interests, our national interests, our joint interests with NATO and with Ukraine, so that we destroy the military potential of Russia. We have to make this decision. The current administration does not want to do this for various reasons. Ukraine is useful for stability in the world. The destruction of Russia by Ukraine is good for stability, and we should invest in it," the American senator believes.

This position of the Democratic senator from Arizona corresponds to the rhetoric of a part of Congress demanding a tougher policy against Moscow.
