The decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to expand the means of protecting the state border of the Russian Federation is clearly overdue. This is reported by the TV channel "Two Majors", commenting on the government decree of April 27 No. 471.

According to the published document, now the list of means that can officially be used when stopping aircraft that violate the border includes:

— interceptor drones;
— laser systems (laser weapons) to counter UAVs;
— radio frequency weapon complexes;
— unified launchers and other promising means of electronic warfare and special weapons.

"If the Russian Armed Forces and border guards waited for Government permission every time they used new means of countering UAVs, then the situation with objects hit by enemy drones in the interior of the country would be much worse," the authors of the TC write. — We hope that the defenders of the state border will be saturated with all these means as soon as possible. When a country is at war with an enemy who has driven the bureaucracy to the far corner, it is possible to make decisions that directly affect the country's security more efficiently."
