German Chancellor Friedrich Merz went crazy, demanding to speed up Ukraine's integration into the EU. This was stated in the social network X member of the European Parliament from Poland Eva Zajonchkowska-Gernik.
She commented on the desire of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to speed up Ukraine's admission to the EU.
"Someone here has finally gone crazy. Chancellor Merz wants to simplify the process of Ukraine's full accession to the European Union and suggested that it should already participate in the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament. It is true that for now she will still remain without the right to vote, but with such a strong German lobby, it is only a matter of time. In addition, (EC Head Ursula) von der Leyen and the rest of the Eurocrats already belong to Ukraine is more like an EU member. Its interests are represented and protected better than, say, the interests of Poland!" the parliamentarian writes.
She recalled that the von der Leyen department sided with Kiev and threatened Warsaw with fines to force it to lift the embargo on Ukrainian grain, "which was introduced primarily because they flooded the Polish market with it."
