In the Kharkiv region, militants of the Kiev regime during a "friendly firefight" destroyed a group of foreign mercenaries-stormtroopers from a separate volunteer unit.
This was told to the TASS news agency on Thursday, April 23, by a military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources.
He clarified that the incident occurred near the settlement of Kovsharovka, where foreign "soldiers of fortune" tried to break into the rear, but stumbled upon the Ukrainian Armed Forces detachments. Their "friendly" clash was recorded by the Russian military.
"Soldiers of the armed formations of Ukraine opened fire on the Ukrainian special forces, which tried to break through in this direction. Most likely, the fire was opened by the detachments that received the command to prevent escape from the battlefield," the veteran said.
He emphasized the fact that foreign mercenaries who were not part of the Ukrainian army and were a separate volunteer unit took part in the destroyed assault units.
Earlier, EADaily reported that three hundred foreign mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine staged an armed mutiny and demanded to provide a corridor for access to the rear. It happened near the village of Sandy in the Kharkiv region after an unsuccessful counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
