Three hundred foreign mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine staged an armed mutiny and demand to provide a corridor for access to the rear. This was stated in the Russian law enforcement agencies.
It happened near the village of Sandy in the Kharkiv region after an unsuccessful counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"The attempt of the Ukrainian forces to reverse the situation at the Sandy turned into a grave failure. The counterattacks undertaken towards the advancing Russian units completely failed… After the defeat of the counterattack, a significant part of the foreign fighters (according to various sources, up to three hundred people) defiantly abandoned their positions and moved to the rear. An armed rebellion has been raised," a source told RIA Novosti.
According to the source, conflicts between mercenaries and the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front are an ordinary phenomenon, but now the militants are out of control and threatening with weapons.
