The Kremlin is not going to congratulate the head of the Tisa party, Peter Magyar, on his victory in the parliamentary elections in Hungary, since Budapest supports anti-Russian sanctions. This was announced today, April 13, by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
"We do not send congratulations to unfriendly countries. And Hungary is an unfriendly country, it supports sanctions against us," the Kremlin spokesman explained.
He also explained that Russia had no "friendship" with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban specifically with him.
"We had a dialogue with him," said the press secretary of the Russian president.
As EADaily reported, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has already sent congratulations to Peter Magyar on his victory in the parliamentary elections. Lukashenko hopes that Hungary's strong voice in the international arena will continue to sound "in the spirit of pragmatism, striving to maintain universal security, respect for all peoples." He also wished the Magyar good health and success.
