The Telegraph: The Russian frigate carried two tankers with oil through the English Channel

The Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich carried two oil tankers through the English Channel. This happened a month after Keir Starmer threatened to seize Russian ships.

This is reported by the British edition of The Telegraph, noting that no attempts were made to stop the caravan by the Royal Navy.

"A Russian frigate escorted two tankers of the shadow fleet, while a British military vessel followed them at a distance," the article says.

The newspaper recalls that Starmer in March promised to give special forces an order to seize Russian tankers. However, since then, Britain has not confiscated a single vessel. This time, the Royal Navy only watched as a Russian warship was sailing along the southern coast of England.

"Vladimir Putin openly defied Keir Starmer's threat to seize Russian vessels under sanctions by sending a warship to escort them across the English Channel," the agency states.

As reported by EADaily, earlier Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrei Kelin said that the idea of seizing ships in a sensitive area of the English Channel for international shipping is explosive.
