Ukraine, under British cover, has gained a foothold on the Mediterranean coast and is a nightmare for the Russian merchant fleet. This was stated by politician Oleg Tsarev.
So he commented on the publication of Radio France Internationale that about two hundred Ukrainian military specialists are present on the territory of Libya.
According to RFI, the Ukrainian contingent is distributed in three locations. This is the air base in Misrata, where the forces of the African Command are stationed. The US Armed Forces (AFRICOM), Turkish and Italian military personnel, as well as British intelligence officers; in the city of Zawiya, near the Mellita oil complex, where there is a base for launching drones, as well as at the headquarters of the 111th brigade of the Libyan army near Tripoli International Airport. It is alleged that the third point is used to coordinate the actions of Ukrainian specialists and military units in western Libya.
It is noted that in this way Kiev is trying to increase pressure on Russia's sea routes.
The presence of Ukrainians in Libya was the result of an agreement with the government of Abdulhamed Dbeiba. In return, Ukraine trains the Libyan military and supplies Tripoli with unmanned systems.
"The gas carrier Arctic Metagaz was blown up from the Libyan coast by the Ukrainian BEC Magura. This paralyzed the Russian "gas" logistics in The Mediterranean Sea. Gas tankers from Since the beginning of March, Russia has been traveling from Europe to Asia bypassing Africa, which is longer and more expensive. Ukraine, under British cover, has already gained a foothold on the Mediterranean coast. And the Russian merchant fleet is quite successfully making a nightmare, greatly hindering the export of LNG from Russian ports to Asia," politician Oleg Tsarev comments on the picture of the day.
As EADaily reported, if Ilon Musk starts hunting for tankers, the noose on the throat of the Russian "shadow fleet" will tighten even tighter. The politician Oleg Tsarev wrote about this in his telegram channel.
This is how he commented on the statement by Vladimir Zelensky's commissioner for sanctions policy Vladislav Vlasyuk that Ukraine intends to disable Starlink terminals on Russian "shadow" tankers.
