There is a high probability that the Telegram team will comply with the requirements of Russian legislation and the work of the messenger in Russia will be restored. This was stated to TASS by Alexander Ionov, chairman of the commission of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC) on international cooperation in the field of human rights.
"As far as I know, there is a high probability that the Telegram team will come to an agreement with the Russian Federation and fulfill the conditions that are required, especially in terms of extremism and those channels that pose a threat to the national security of our countries," Ionov said.
He noted that the requirements of the Russian Federation for Telegram are an absolutely adequate agenda and the messenger team is discussing it.
Earlier, Roskomnadzor reported that the agency decided to slow down Telegram services due to the "systematic and constant violation by the messenger of the requirements of the federal law."
