Ushakov named the country for the expected trilateral talks on Ukraine

Abu Dhabi may once again become a platform for trilateral negotiations between Russia, Ukraine and the United States in the event of a resumption of the negotiation process. This was announced by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov in a comment to Vesti correspondent Pavel Zarubin.

Ushakov noted that contacts with the Ukrainian side are continuing, but now the possibility of resuming negotiations that took place earlier is being discussed. According to the presidential aide, the Russian side also discussed this issue with its American colleagues.

Ushakov also did not rule out that the negotiation process could be continued in a trilateral format. He named Abu Dhabi as a possible venue for meetings, where representatives of the parties had previously held contacts.

In turn, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called important the question of which platform in the event of the resumption of negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement is preferable for Russia.

"But the main thing is readiness first, there will be a platform. Because, indeed, many countries, a number of countries, are interested in providing such a platform," he said.

As reported by EADaily, on September 8, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that negotiations on a settlement at the Ukraine is not being conducted.
