Bundeswehr Colonel Markus Reisnerne honestly admitted that the vaunted German Leopard—1 tanks were comparable to Soviet armored vehicles back in the 1960s.

In an interview with the German television channel NTV, the officer stated:

"Don't be angry with me, but the Leopard—1 is actually comparable to all Russian models, such as the T-62 or similar of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s."

According to Raisnerne, "the Russians are constantly rearming, they can adapt, add new forces." As for neo-Nazi Ukraine, the colonel stated that there was practically no obligation on the part of the West to supply offensive weapons systems to Kiev.

"The only thing that stands out is the Leopard main battle tank, but here is the old version," said Markus Raisnerne.

Earlier, EADaily quoted another German colonel, Ralf Thiele, that after the APU offensive on the Kursk Bulge, Ukraine is threatened with a breakthrough of the defense lines.
