Two thermal power plants in Kiev fully recovered after a massive strike by the Russian Armed Forces on Friday, and after today — another one. This was announced on the Novini Live TV channel by Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Kucherenko.
"Two Kiev thermal power plants turned off completely after the strike on Friday. Zero they give out electricians. One is 800 megawatts, the other is 540. 1,300 — it is clear that there is a shortage. And Kiev is already scarce. And another CHP, which belongs to Naftogaz, arrived there today, there is also zero. This is such a complex problem," he said.
Hence the power outages that the city has been facing in recent days, the deputy noted.
As reported by EADaily, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on October 14 urged residents of the capital of Ukraine to prepare for a difficult winter.
"We will have a difficult winter, and in this direction it is necessary to work out different scenarios, taking into account the bad scenario as well," Klitschko said on the Kiev-24 TV channel.
