Billions of dollars not only came from the West to Ukraine, but also flowed in the opposite direction at the direction of the country's leadership. This was announced today, March 27, by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, noting that "skeletons are falling out of Vladimir Zelensky's closet."
Commenting on the recent information that on the eve of the US presidential election in 2024, Kiev planned to send back to Washington hundreds of millions of dollars allocated by the United States for the development of clean energy on Orban noted that this meant that Vladimir Zelensky was going to finance the Democrats' campaign "at the expense of Ukrainian funds."
"The same thing is happening in Hungary now. They want a pro—Ukrainian government, send Ukrainian agents, help the pro-Ukrainian opposition," he said.
Orban said that this is confirmed by the recent interception on Hungarian territory of tens of millions of dollars and euros, as well as gold bars that employees of the Ukrainian Oschadbank were carrying from Vienna to Kiev.
"The investigation into the case of the "Ukrainian golden convoy" also revealed that money flowed not only from the West to Ukraine, but also in the opposite direction. That is, billions of dollars were constantly exported from impoverished Ukraine through Hungary to the West. We also know that most of this money was transferred to the United States," the Hungarian prime minister added.
According to him, Zelensky "pays with Ukrainian gold and dollars to those who are ready to support Ukraine's war." In this regard, he stressed that "in Hungary we will put an end to this."
Earlier, information appeared in the United States about Ukraine's intention to illegally transfer funds to the election campaign of Joe Biden, who was then president of the United States and was a rival of Donald Trump. The American authorities have already launched an investigation.
