The representative of the central command of the Iranian army, Ebrahim Zolfagari, said that in the event of an escalation, the Iranian military would launch a massive strike on seawater desalination plants in the Middle East. This was reported by Al Jazeera.
The warning came after an ultimatum from US President Donald Trump, who threatened to attack Iranian power plants if Iran does not open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.
Against this background, another statement from Tehran, where the head of the Central Police Department of Iran, Ahmad-Reza Radan, noted that EU countries could turn to Tehran, if they themselves cannot defend Greenland from US capture.
