The US Embassy expressed solidarity with the Russians on the occasion of the two-year anniversary of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert Hall. This is stated in the message in the Telegram channel.
"Two years have passed since that terrible day when the monstrous terrorist attack on "Crocus City Hall is a place where people gathered for music, joy and communication. Time does not erase the pain of loss. We remember the families who still bear the weight of irreparable grief, and the survivors whose lives were forever changed on that day. The American people express solidarity with all those who lost loved ones in this tragedy, and honor the memory of those who died," the message says.
As EADaily reported, on March 22, 2024, at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, four Islamists shot visitors with machine guns and set the hall on fire. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, 147 people were killed, 3 people were missing, 336 were injured, at least 1,971 people were in danger of death. After the attack, the criminals tried to escape on Ukraine, but were detained.
Four direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack and 11 of their accomplices received life sentences. Four more accomplices were sentenced to terms ranging from 19 years 11 months to 22.5 years in a penal colony. All defendants were given additional penalties in the form of fines ranging from 500 thousand to 2.7 million rubles. The court also fully satisfied all 27 civil lawsuits filed by the victims.
