The venue of the meeting, where the next round of trilateral negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement may take place, has not yet been determined, but Russia is ready. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the statement of Vladimir Zelensky that for security reasons a new meeting should be held in the United States.
"No interest, judging by the statements, the President [of the United States Donald] Trump did not lose. Moreover, he recommends, and strongly recommends, President Zelensky to make a deal. And it follows from these statements that it is the Ukrainian side that is the main brake on the negotiation process," the Kremlin spokesman said.
"As for the Russian side, we are open to continuing the negotiation process. We are waiting for the next round of negotiations. Unfortunately, for obvious reasons, the place and time have not yet been agreed, but we believe that this will be possible in the foreseeable future," Peskov said.
He added that "now < The priorities of the American negotiators are different."
"They have a lot of work in other areas that are well understood," Peskov said.
