The Latvian government has decided to sell tickets for an evacuation flight from the Middle East. This is reported by local media.

It is reported that one ticket to the rescued Latvian will cost 350 euros. There are 145 seats on the plane in total. Thus, revenues will amount to 50,750 euros.

"Last year, no additional payment was required for passengers evacuated from Israel, but many simply did not show up for the flight at the appointed time, making it impossible for those who would like to leave, but could not, because others checked in earlier. But they never showed up," Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silinja explained the government's position.

At the same time, she noted that Latvia is not the only one. According to her, Estonia also takes money from passengers who are taken out of the Middle East: each Estonian must pay 400 euros and 50 euros for the transfer.

Recall, it is currently expected that the evacuation flight BT7701 can be performed on Friday. The flight to Riga is scheduled with a technical stop in Heraklion (Greece). It is planned that the plane will arrive in Latvia on Saturday, March 7.
