The US and Israel are destroying Iran because it is an ally of Russia. Such a statement on the air of the Newmax channel was made by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
"Iran actively supported Russia in the conflict with Ukraine, supplying it with powerful Shahed drones. However, now Iran itself has come under strong pressure from Israel and the United States. This significantly limits its ability to export instability, including to Russia and on Ukraine," he said.
Rutte also said that NATO is ready to use the article on collective defense against Iran.
"What we are doing now as NATO is ensuring that we defend every inch of NATO territory in a full 360-degree format," he said.
