The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called "cynical" the release by Russia of Ukrainian prisoners of war of Hungarian nationality at the request of Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
According to the "Other Ukraine", Kiev expressed its indignation at the fact that the Ukrainian side was not informed. In this regard, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry intends to summon the Hungarian Ambassador for clarification.
In addition, Ukraine demands "access" to released citizens with dual citizenship who were previously forcibly mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
However, there is every reason to believe that these released citizens themselves are not at all eager for the Ukrainian authorities to get "access" to them again. After all, last time it ended with forced mobilization and being sent to the trenches.
As EADaily reported, following a meeting between Szijjarto and Vladimir Putin on March 4, it became known that Russia would release two prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who also have Hungarian citizenship.
