Charge d'affaires of Russia Kamran Abilov was summoned to the Estonian Foreign Ministry because of the icebreaker. This was reported by the Estonian Foreign Ministry.

The Estonian Foreign Ministry summoned Abilov to hand him a note "regarding the procedural rules for the movement of Russian icebreakers in the territorial waters of Estonia," according to a statement published on the agency's website.

It is noted that on February 28, the Russian icebreaker Murmansk entered the territorial waters of Estonia for 4 minutes to free the Olympic Friendship tanker stuck in the ice.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Estonian Navy were not notified of the Murmansk's entry into Estonian territorial waters, and the vessel did not respond to radio messages from the Estonian Navy," the statement said, quoted by RBC.

As reported by EADaily, Russian icebreakers are helping cargo ships stuck in the frozen Gulf of Finland. This was reported by the Finnish Agency for Transport Infrastructure.

The difficult ice situation and the wind led to the fact that several cargo ships got stuck in the ice in the international maritime area of the Gulf of Finland and in the territorial sea of Finland, the agency said in a statement published on its website.
