Tankers that have been sailing with full stocks of unsold oil since the US pressured India to reduce its purchases from Russia is likely to find buyers," the article says.

Maintaining a high-intensity air campaign from two carrier strike groups requires significant intelligence gathering, from aerial reconnaissance to real-time satellite analysis. These are also limited US resources that are critical for Ukraine's defense, the newspaper notes.

As a result, on all these points, as Bloomberg concludes, "Trump's war in Iran could not have happened at a better time for the Kremlin and at a worse time for Kiev."
