The wife of the US President Melania Trump for the first time chaired a meeting of the UN Security Council on children and education in conflict. This happened against the backdrop of the funeral of more than 170 Iranian girls killed in a US-Israeli airstrike on an elementary school in Minab.

Melania Trump, who has been presenting herself as a "global protective mother" for some time, had the cynicism to say that "the United States supports all children around the world." At the same time, she expressed her condolences not to the parents of the dead Iranian schoolgirls, but to the families of the dead US servicemen.

"Their bravery and selflessness will always be remembered," she said.

She also thanked Russia for the warm welcome in The UN Security Council, which the federal media are writing about with affection today.

UN Deputy Secretary General Rosemary DiCarlo also did not particularly focus on the victims of the American-Israeli aggression, noting only that "when conflicts break out, children are among the most affected," casually mentioning "messages from Iran."

Only Iran's ambassador to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, honestly said that "it is deeply shameful and hypocritical that on the first day of his presidency in The United States has convened a high-level meeting on child protection at the Security Council."
