Harrison Kass, a columnist for the American magazine The National Interest, called the Russian S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system a new headache for NATO. According to the expert, Moscow's weapons can affect the effectiveness of Western aviation.

The Russian Ministry of Defense, with the help of Triumphs, creates the so-called /AD (anti—access and area denial - restriction and prohibition of access and maneuver).

"The practical significance of the presence of the S-400 lies in the fact that it changes the flight planning of NATO aircraft, forcing the use of stealth platforms, countermeasures and electronic warfare," said Kass.

Hence the great value of the S-400 is a deterrent factor, since the enemy will be forced to send additional reserves to the Triumphs coverage area.

EADaily also previously informed — the promised Sentinel missiles are waiting for four years, the timing of the release of US weapons has been named.
