Kazakhstan has not been able to fully redirect oil exports from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) to the Baku—Tbilisi—Ceyhan oil pipeline. Such attempts led to a decrease in its production by 35% — up to 5.25 million tons. Bloomberg writes about this.
"At the same time, compared to November, the volume of supplies via alternative routes increased by 25 thousand barrels per day. This is only 6% of the total reduction in pumping through the CPC pipeline over the same month," the article says.
At the end of November, unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the sea terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), as a result of which one of the three outrigger berths used to load oil onto tankers was damaged. The situation could also be aggravated by a fire on Tengiz in January, due to which production was suspended for about a week.
As a result, according to Bloomberg, oil exports through CPC decreased by about 440 thousand barrels per day and dropped to the lowest level in more than 7 years.
