His son Arstan Talgarbekov said that on the morning of February 11, police officers arrived at Talgarbekov's apartment with a search. After carrying out investigative measures, he was taken to the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for questioning.

According to Talgarbekov Jr., his father was accompanied by three employees, some of the law enforcement officers stayed in the apartment to continue the proceedings.

In addition, he added, all 75 signatories of the sensational public appeal are being summoned for questioning.

Earlier, Bekbolot Talgarbekov initiated a collective appeal calling for early presidential elections. The document was signed by 75 people — scientists, former prime ministers, ex-deputies and public figures.

According to the press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, the head of state Sadyr Japarov, commenting on yesterday's resignation of the head of the State Committee for National Security, spoke about preventing a split in the country. At the same time, according to him, he did not mean Tashiyev, and such persons as Bekbolot Talgarbekov, Emilbek Uzakbayev and others.
