Russian singer, teacher, Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Penkin celebrates his 65th birthday on February 10. In an interview with the Izvestia portal, he admitted that he has been receiving a pension for three years — since the age of 62.
"When I received my pension for the first time and reported it at home, we all laughed together," Penkin said.
The correspondent asked about the size of the payment, the artist replied — 25 thousand rubles.
At the same time, in Moscow, honored and People's Artists of Russia receive a supplement to the monthly payment in the amount of 40 thousand rubles.
"Imagine, I'm 65 years old and I get 65 thousand," Penkin laughs.
The artist stressed that he does not feel at this age.
"I can't stay at home, I like to walk, I constantly need to do something. It is necessary to live now, as for the last time. Movement is life," Penkin said.
As reported by EADaily, in October last year Penkin said that during the tour in Novosibirsk tore the mattress in one of the local hotels.
"I woke up covered in feathers in a Novosibirsk hotel. I had a day off after the concert. Tired after numerous trips, I fell asleep so soundly that I tore the expensive mattress, which was densely filled with feathers, unnoticed by myself. In a second, my number and I were covered with a thick layer of feathers," the singer wrote in his telegram channel and provided the publication with colorful photos.
