The Kremlin's negotiator with Washington — the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev again hit the reputation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, urging him to leave his post.
"Keir Starmer, just do it!" he wrote in English on X, commenting on a post calling on Starmer to resign "for the sake of everything good for the country."
A day earlier, Dmitriev suggested that Starmer might soon announce his resignation amid the departure of his chief of staff Morgan McSweeney due to the scandal surrounding the case of accused pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
EADaily reminds that in January Dmitriev cited the results of a vote in X on whether Starmer should leave office. According to the survey, 96% of users felt that the prime minister should leave.
EADaily also adds that earlier the head of the Paris Institute of the Arab World, former French Minister of Culture Jacques Lang resigned after an investigation was launched against him on suspicion of money laundering in collaboration with Epstein. French President Emmanuel Macron called the decision to resign Lang "a personal choice of the ex-minister" and noted that the Elysee Palace "took note of this information."
"Yes, French figures appear [in the documents], and justice is doing its job," Macron said today on the BFMTV channel. — But I think this primarily concerns the United States. It is necessary that their justice does its job."
