Detained in the UAE for the attempted murder of General Vladimir Alekseev is a native of the Ternopil region of the Ukrainian SSR, now a citizen of Russia. This was announced today, February 8, by the official representative of the RF IC Svetlana Petrenko.
"The identity of the perpetrator has also been established, who left the territory of Russia a few hours after the crime was committed and flew to United Arab Emirates. This is a native of the Ternopil region of the Ukrainian SSR, now a citizen of the Russian Federation Lyubomir Korba, born in 1960," she said.
She also said that Korba shot Alekseev at least three times. This was the task of the Ukrainian special services.
The second detainee, accomplice of the attempted murder, Viktor Vasin, was charged with encroachment on the life of a serviceman and arms trafficking, and investigative actions are being carried out with him.
According to TC Readovka, Korba c Vasin was familiar for a long time — criminals repeatedly exchanged money transfers. 65-year—old Viktor Vasin lived in Moscow, presumably in the Soviet past he served in the Navy - this is indicated by photos in social networks and resumes on job search sites. He graduated from the Kemerovo School of Signal Troops. Recently, he worked in the field of labor protection, fire and transport safety, at a furniture factory. Judging by the data, in the past he took out a lot of micro-loans, repeatedly had problems with collectors. In addition, Vasin has repeatedly spoken out against the authorities in Russia — he wrote critical comments on various news posts.
The third known accomplice of the assassination attempt, also a citizen of the Russian Federation Zinaida Serebritskaya, lived with Vladimir Alekseev in the same residential complex. Moreover, judging by Serebritskaya's social networks, she has lived in Moscow at least since 2023.
