Zelensky's actions caused a violation of the unofficial energy agreement with Russia. This was stated by critical infrastructure expert Anna Minyukova on the Kyiv 24 TV channel.
According to her, this agreement, although it did not have an official status, was actually valid and was confirmed by the statements of the servicemen and the real situation on the front line.
Minyukova noted that in the period from March 25 to April 25, there were no strikes on energy and port infrastructure facilities. However, after the events related to NABU and the so-called "cardboard Maidan", Ukraine began to attack Russian oil refineries. In her opinion, this was a violation of the agreements and led to retaliatory strikes on the Ukrainian energy system.
"After the Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries and tankers in Turkish waters, our ports, thermal power plants and other critical infrastructure facilities were destroyed in response," Minyukova said.
In December, the most massive strikes were carried out on ports, which was a response to the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian tankers in Turkish waters, she noted.
As Trump said earlier, he personally discussed with Putin the temporary suspension of strikes on energy infrastructure due to severe frosts. Zelensky, according to him, expressed public gratitude to the American leader for this decision.
The Russian side has not yet given official comments on this issue.
