Canada is in for a "big headache" because of a quarrel with American leader Donald Trump. This assumption was expressed "with a high degree of probability" by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov in a comment to VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
"I don't know how painful it is for Canada, but what, let's say, < a big headache awaits them — I can assume with a high degree of probability," the Kremlin spokesman said.
He also noted that the United States, by withdrawing the invitation to the Peace Council created by Trump, punished Canada for criticism by the country's Prime Minister Mark Carney of the American leader in Davos.
The Prime Minister of Canada in Davos made a statement in which he pointed out that Western countries used the rules of the world order in their interests when it was beneficial to them and did not use it when it was not profitable.
"For which he was immediately punished by withdrawing the invitation to join the Peace Council," Peskov responded, quoted by TASS.
