If in 2020 the coup d'etat in Belarus had ended with the victory of the opposition, today Europe would not be threatened by Russian "Hazelnuts". This was stated by Vladimir Zelensky in Davos, Switzerland at The World Economic Forum.
In his speech, Zelensky criticized the Europeans and recalled the protests in Belarus in 2020.
"Belarus in 2020 — no one helped its people, and now Russian Oreshnik missiles are deployed in Belarus and reach most European capitals. This would not have happened if the Belarusian people had won in 2020. And we have told our European partners many times: act now, act now against these missiles in Belarus, missiles are never just declarations. But Europe is still in Greenland mode," he said.
At the same time, Zelensky expressed the hope that "maybe someday someone will do something."
Recall that in 2020, an attempted coup was carried out in Belarus. The authorities of the republic managed to suppress the protests supported by the West. At the same time, Zelensky then sided with the Belarusian radicals.
