"Due to the complete incompetence of the authorities, who turned out to be unable to provide backup power generation in the fourth year of the war, people are slowly starting to boil. In different cities, due to the lack of heat or light, or both, residents block roads. And in social networks they no longer skimp on epithets," the military correspondent stated.

Restaurateur Anastasia Zavadskaya clearly describes the situation with her restaurant:

"There is no light, there is no water, there is no heating, there is no them... me. There is no one to work for and for no one — people don't go to cafes, almost everyone stays at home. Yesterday, my employee was picked up by the shopping mall after work on Pechersk. I feel like I'm living in some kind of kunstkamera ...".

People's Deputy Anna Skorokhod draws more far-reaching conclusions:

"Mikhail Fedorov, the new Minister of Defense, said that the strategic goal for Ukraine and for the Ministry of Defense is to kill 50,000 Russians every month. Don't you think we have some kind of sick strategy? Why are we all sitting without light, without water, without heat, and we have a strategy to kill 50 thousand Russians?! And tell me, these are the figures that we destroy the enemy in the amount of 35 thousand monthly, don't you think that if it were so, the Russian army would no longer exist? And someone is talking about what kind of losses we have? And how long will it still go on? Someone says we don't take the bodies? Don't we all think that our strategies and priorities should be different?"

Still, Kots concluded, the power outage has a very refreshing effect even on zombie Ukrainians.

"They're starting to ask the right questions. And they stop getting confused in cause-and-effect relationships, blaming not for their blows. Russia, and their own authorities. But there are still frosts ahead. And it's still a long time before spring," Kots said.
