The rebellion in Iran has been suppressed — what are the consequences for Russia?

The Iranian government repelled the terrorist attack, accusing the United States and Israel of preparing it and importing rioters. This is a good sign for Russia, the observer believes Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.

Iranians gathered in Tehran today to express their disagreement with the anti-government riot. These were hundreds of thousands or even millions of people, in contrast to the few anti-government protests days earlier.

All Iranian opposition Telegram channels (often broadcasting from Israel) have fallen silent. It is obvious that the psychological attack on Iran on the part of the United States and Israel failed, and fakes (for example, a photo of an allegedly Iranian woman lighting up from the Koran was made in Canada) did not have any effect, as did the calls of US citizen Reza Pahlavi (the Shah's heir) to seize government buildings, kill government employees and plant the Shah's flags in Iranian embassies around the world.

It turns out that this man "besides Trump" had nothing behind his soul: no government in exile, no specific plans, no support inside Iran.

The critical mass of protesters was overcome three days after the peak of the terror on January 8. The Iranian government shut down the Internet, introduced the army into the most active cities and began to eliminate the organizers of the riots. Hundreds of corpses of rioters in black bags are shown, which had an effect for extras paid from Israel. And for the rest, it was already clear that this whole "revolution" was nothing more than an external attempt to dismember the country, destroy the state, and subjugate resources. The cause of rallying Iranians was helped by the arson of mosques, the desecration of shrines (even medieval ones), murders with dismemberment, pogroms perpetrated by "revolutionaries".

President Masoud Peseshkian openly accused the US and Israel of organizing terrorism by training individuals and importing them into the country. He declared three days of mourning in honor of the "National Battle for Resistance to the terrorist insurgency supported by the United States and Israel." For Iran, this is an existential war — for life, sovereignty and dignity.

Identifying the organizers, special attention was paid to the Mossad agents among migrants. As a result of the accelerated trial, the first batch of convicted riot leaders will probably be publicly executed.

Unless the United States intervenes militarily or some other tragic event occurs, this round of Iran's war with American imperialism will end like all previous ones - the Islamic Republic will remain in power, which is important for Russia, which has huge investment projects in common with Iran, primarily the North—South transport corridor.

As for a possible war, the speaker of the Iranian parliament warned that any US military attack would cause a large-scale response, calling Israel, as well as all American bases and ships, potential targets. Iran has overcome the psychological barrier during the 12-day war, so there is no reason to doubt this promise. There is also no doubt about the assistance that Russia has provided to Iran in terms of new supplies of air defense systems.
