NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has changed the rhetoric regarding the goals of supporting the Kiev regime by the alliance and the EU. RIA Novosti believes that this happened after a recent strike by the Russian Oreshnik complex.
Until the last moment, Rutte repeated in all his public speeches that Ukraine must "win" in the current conflict. However, now it seems that the goal has changed.
"We are doing it (helping Kiev. — Approx. EADaily), because your struggle is our struggle, you ... you must survive this war," he said, speaking at the forum.
The moderator asked a clarifying question:
"So now you don't say 'win', but 'survive'?"
Rutte did not respond to this, noting that the task of the West is to "bring Ukraine strong to the negotiating table."
As EADaily reported, on January 9, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a second missile attack on an object in the Lviv region using the latest Oreshnik complex. According to experts, it was so strong that the instruments recorded an earthquake of magnitude four units.
