In Russia, 25 fast food outlets under the Rostic's brand were closed, as a result of which 600 people were left without work. This is reported by the SHOT Telegram channel.
Already former employees of Rostic's confirmed that the restaurants stopped working on December 24, and on January 12 they were confirmed fired. Interestingly, most of those laid off have not received a salary since September last year, which the management explained by problems with the receipt of money to the current account, but ex-employees are sure that the company plans to go bankrupt.
The closed outlets are owned by the Fast Food Market company, operating under a franchise from Art Resta (the copyright holder of Rostic's in Russia). The franchise holder had problems with the rights at the end of last year, after which the company managed to extend the ownership of the KFC logo with Colonel Sanders. The deadline is until October 2036.
There have been no official comments on the reason for the mass layoffs and wage delays from the company itself so far.
