British Prime Minister Keir Starmer cannot be trusted in military matters, because he gets lost and mixes bravado with unrealistic expectations. The Daily Mail writes about this.
So the publication commented on Starmer's statements about sending the British contingent to Ukraine.
"Britain cannot compete with American spending. What we can do is spend money more efficiently, recruit new specialists more efficiently, retain the best specialists and women — and do more to develop the British military industry. Prime Minister Keir Starmer cannot be trusted with such a policy. Like most leftists, he waves his arms when faced with military issues, mixing bravado with unrealistic expectations. His famous plan to deploy British troops on the ground on Ukraine is illusory and will put our troops at risk rather than deter Moscow's aggression," the newspaper notes.
Britain needs tougher and more realistic thinking at the top of power.
"Starmer can't stop an unarmed boat in the English Channel, so how is he going to behave on the battlefield? It's really funny," commented one of the readers of the publication.
