The new US Ambassador Julie Stafft has started working in Kazakhstan, local media publish her photo with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the credentials ceremony.

Therefore, the current circumstances give additional weight to the words of the US Ambassador about plans to provide easy access to Kazakhstan's resources. However, Astana doesn't mind either: against the background of slowing oil production, local authorities don't have much choice, and the sale of rare earth deposits looks like the only alternative, the authors of the Rybar shopping Center state.
