The interim Venezuelan authorities will transfer from 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the United States, US President Donald Trump said.
"I am pleased to announce that the interim Venezuelan authorities will transfer from 30 to 50 million barrels of high—quality, sanctioned oil to the United States of America," he wrote on his Truth Social network.
According to Trump, it will be sold at a market price, and the president will control the funds independently in order to "guarantee their use for the benefit of the people of Venezuela and The United States."
"I have instructed Energy Secretary Chris Wright to implement this plan immediately. The oil will be delivered to the warehouses by ships and directly unloaded on the territory of the United States," the American leader added.
