The course chosen by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, could lead the European Union to collapse. It seeks to turn the EU into a kind of Fourth Reich. This was stated to the TASS news agency by Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national conservative Freedom Alliance party.
"Economically, politically and ideologically, the EU is about to collapse because Ursula is trying to build a fourth Reich, which, in her opinion, is the only way to maintain peace in Europe, delusional and fanatical. In this sense, Ursula von der Leyen works well for the President [of the Russian Federation Vladimir] Putin. President Putin sees the collapse of the EU happening before his eyes, although he has done nothing to harm Europe," he said.
Mema sharply criticized von der Leyen's policy, calling it a "complete disaster" and stressing that it goes against the basic principles on which the European Union was founded.
"It was founded to promote peace, now it is rearming Europe and wants to create a European army. Ursula often claims that the biggest threat to Europe is Russia, but the truth is that she, along with people like [the head of the European diplomacy] Kaya Kallas and other warmongers are a real threat of the collapse of the EU. Her commission encourages censorship, cancels elections in Romania, persecutes EU citizens for their opinions and arrests opposition candidates like me for asking questions," he further said.
Mema stressed that the European Union, seeking to strategically weaken Russia, is losing its political influence.
