The Moscow garrison military court sentenced the former chairman of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Andrei Zhezhuk, to 5 years, and his deputy, Colonel Sergei Zakharov, to 4.5 years in a penal colony for taking bribes. This was reported by TASS from the courtroom.
"To find Andrei Zhezhuk and Sergei Zakharov guilty under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and impose punishment: in relation to Zhezhuk — 5 years in a strict regime colony, in relation to Zakharov — 4.5 years in a strict regime colony," the judge said.
