Putin was "immediately informed" about the murder of General of the General Staff Sarvarov — Kremlin

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the murder of the 56-year-old head of the operational training Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, was reported to the head of state by the special services immediately.

As reported by EADaily, this morning in Moscow on The head of the Operational training Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant-General Fanil Sarvarov, was killed as a result of a car bombing. The main version, according to RF IC, — a terrorist attack by the Ukrainian special services. The cause of the explosion, previously, was an improvised explosive device, which was placed under the bottom of the Kia Sorento and triggered a few seconds after the car started moving. The Lieutenant general, who was driving, received multiple shrapnel wounds, closed fractures, leg wounds and a fracture of the facial bone. He was hospitalized in extremely serious condition, he died soon after.

What is known about Sarvarov:

Graduated from the Kazan Higher Tank Command Red Banner School in 1990. The Military Academy of Armored Forces in 1999 and Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 2008;
