The Turkish vessel VIVA with a cargo of sunflower oil was attacked by a drone in the exclusive economic zone of Ukraine.
This is reported by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana, referring to the Ukrainian Navy. According to the Ukrainian side, the ship was heading to Egypt. There were 11 Turkish citizens on board.
"The strike was carried out on the high seas, in the exclusive economic zone of Ukraine, beyond the range of Ukrainian air defense systems, that is, apparently, the ship was sailing from a Ukrainian port," the publication says.
The Ukrainian Navy is in touch with the captain of the vessel, the maritime search and rescue service has been put on alert, the agency writes. It is also noted that the attack did not lead to serious consequences. The crew was not injured, the vessel continues to move to the port of destination.
Earlier, EADaily reported that in response to the attack of four tankers carrying Russian oil, the Kiev regime received a missile strike on a vessel with generators, which are catastrophically necessary in conditions when power outages in the south, center and east of the country exceed 10-12 hours a day.
