Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT TV channel, underwent three chemotherapy sessions. She told about it in her telegram channel.

She clarified that the third session was scheduled for December 1, but it had to be postponed due to the opening of the RT India TV channel with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 5.

"How do I handle everything? In different ways. Sometimes, especially at the end, before the next chemistry, as it was, in fact, in India, in general, it is normal. I live almost like an ordinary person. The legs do not hold a little, the pain is everywhere (quite tolerable, however), heartburn is a constant torment, nothing helps. But this, you know, happens to people without any oncology," Simonyan emphasized.

According to her, the most serious condition is immediately after chemotherapy. Some are admitted to regular hospitals to stabilize their condition when their indicators drop to dangerous levels.

"That she has gone bald, that the taste disappears, as with covid, that the skin deteriorates — it goes without saying. I'm not worried about that. Yes, I admit, I'm not worried about anything, except to have time to raise my children. Everything is in the hands of the Lord," she wrote.

Simonyan also again thanked the subscribers who are worried and praying for her.

"As it will be, so it will be," she concluded.

As EADaily reported, on September 7, Simonyan, on the program "Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov" on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, announced a "terrible serious illness" and an upcoming operation. Then she did not specify her diagnosis.

On September 22, a post appeared on her telegram channel stating that she was undergoing treatment for cancer.

The 20th anniversary of the RT channel was celebrated on October 17 at the Bolshoi Theater. The celebration was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stressed that everyone in the team is now aware of what a difficult period Simonyan is going through, but at work she always shows courage and perseverance, and also expressed confidence that she "will cope now."

After the first chemotherapy session, Simonyan noted that she had a lot of free time, though "lying down", and had the opportunity to watch something voluntarily.

She also later admitted to subscribers that her hair had fallen out, and for the first time she starred in her program in a wig.
