The visit of the delegation of the European Parliament to Ukraine was canceled due to the inclusion in its composition of the deputy of the Alternative for Germany faction (AfD) Hans Neuhoff.
According to the Euractiv portal, citing sources, the authorities of the Kiev regime refused to carry out planned activities, including visits to military facilities. Kiev also warned about the possibility of refusing Neuhoff entry into the country.
Politico, for its part, reports that after these warnings, the delegation of the European Parliament canceled its planned visit to Ukraine.
"Members of Parliament from The Committee on Security and Defense (SEDE) had to go to Ukraine on December 1," the article says.
It is indicated that Ukrainian officials contacted Brussels to express concern about "security" in connection with the inclusion of Hans Neuhoff, a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, in the delegation.
Neuhoff really has enough "crimes" on his account from Kiev's point of view. The politician has visited Russia several times in recent years and stated that any peace plan between Moscow and Kiev should be aimed at eliminating the "root causes" that led to the conflict.
At the same time, Neuhoff himself considers himself "strictly neutral." He criticized the EU's approach to turning Ukraine into a "steel porcupine," calling it a "serious strategic mistake" that damages the bloc's relations with Moscow.
As EADaily reported, Hans Neuhoff was among the delegation of the AFD, which visited Sochi in November to participate in the BRICS symposium. —Europe." This visit required German politicians to show courage, as it caused hysteria in the Bundestag and dissatisfaction with the leadership of the AFD.
