At a meeting in Geneva, US representatives accused Ukraine of leaking negative details of the "Trump plan" to the American press. This was stated in the social network X by Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing sources.
Despite the optimistic statements, the meeting between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, according to Ravid, was tense.
"During the meeting, the American side accused the Ukrainians of leaking negative information about the plan to the American press," Ravid said, quoted by Strana.
According to the source, the Ukrainians agreed to publish a positive statement from one of their negotiators in order to defuse the situation.
As for the plan itself, Ukraine "submitted a counterproposal with a request to amend Trump's plan... the United States expressed its readiness to make some changes based on the Ukrainian counterproposal," the journalist added.
